Feels like forever since I've posted, so I thought I'd pop in and say hi and tell you why my hubby rocks my socks.

Last night he says to me "I have the perfect song for you" - "The perfect song for you" means a song you could make a vid to. Now this is kinda weird because we've argued over the time I spend vidding and yet he brings me songs! See, he THINKS about this. Hears a song and thinks about SPN and the vids I make. \o/ This from a man who when I talk SPN to him gives me the look that says "you're mistaking me for someone who cares".

Anyway. To the song..... It's friggin' perfect for S4 and I have NO idea how he knows that. Not only that, it's freakin' wincest. (Well, my take on it.) How does he know that???!!

It has lines like:

Sorry? My brother, my lover!? It's Placebo's "Battle for the Sun". I would love to vid this... (along with about 4 other songs at the moment!) It may just be beyond me but the idea of that kind of challenge appeals to me - unless one of you lovely vidders have the urge....?

In other news.....

I'm currently working on a vid I'm pretty excited about. I hate saying that because it's at this point it all falls apart .... but I'm cautiously optimistic. :)

Puppy is adorable (but I had NO IDEA how much work they were........!)

I haven't had a cigarette in 6 weeks. \o/

Also: Someone MUST have made a vid to "I Would Die for You" (Actually called "#1 Crush") by Garbage. Heard that song again recently and I would love to see a vid to that - I'm sure it must have been done, it's perfect SPN. Anyone got any links??

That's all. I'll hide away now until this vid is done. Though I've been meaning to rec some vids I've loved ... it's just getting the time....

And puppy, you mean dog puppy right? I have a kitten now, so I kind of know (again) what a pain they can be. But they are SO rewarding...

Also, isn't that song called Crush? It was the song I had chosen for my BB, but then I put that aside for a Placebo song, because I could cut it better :)

You know, he really is. He once suggested I vid to "We didn't start the fire" by Billy Joel! HA!

And yes puppy dog.... Oh and yes he is very rewarding but the weeing everywhere and chewing EVERYTHING is, um... challenging.

Yep!! You're right - just checked and it is called Crush. You know, I did check that before I posted and I saw it listed as "I Would Die for You" - oops. (better edit that).

holy crap, that Placebo song is AMAZING.

Oh yay! I know. I ADORE it! How hard would that be to vid to though?! Some songs are just perfect to listen to and imagine an SPN vid to, but to actually do it....... *meep*

It's a very sexy song, for a wincest vid it would be perfect, but I was not in the mood.

Right! Actually this song is perfect for EVERY fandom ever! I mean, it's basically a vidder's dream imo. I'll have to wait for album to come out, if they are all so great maybe I could regain back my will to vid! \o/
It's kinf of horrible when you listen to a million songs and you'd like to make a video, but your brain is just 'no no, I don't want to' :(

Yeah, it's the goth remix version. Also, the song is called "#1 Crush" if we're nitpicking ;)

I know the girl who made that vid and that's not her account. Grr, I hate when people re-upload stuff. And, that vid is almost two years old, so I'm sure it's high time someone else took a crack at it.

Hell yes! Actually I've never been a particularly heavy smoker - more social, but after a a while of "social" smoking - I really needed to try and kick it once and for all! So far. So good!

Hint - if puppy isn't eating or sleeping it's peeing.
Puppy wakes up? Take puppy outside.
Puppy eats? Take puppy outside.
Puppy gets excited? Take puppy outside.

Every damned time puppy pees outside? Reward with quiet calm praise and command - I used "hurry up" with mine and now I have a dog that pees and poohs on command and I never have to clean up after on shopping trips. YAY! But christ on a stick for one hell of a long time it drives you up the wall!

And puppy is (slowly) getting the idea that peeing outside is a good thing.... but just when we think he's got it..... he catches us unawares.

Oh, I was just watching your last wincest vid again yesterday and I'd love to see you make another one :D

That song is pretty awesome -- maybe it will coalesce into a vid for you at some point?

I forgot to say that when our puppy was still little, we kept him crated a lot of the time, and then only allowed in one room of the house till he was trained, and he has never peed on any of our nice carpets since. :D

Yeah - I'd love to actually try and vid it. (though memories of how hard that last one was in still fresh in my memory! But I think I'll might just have to give it a go...

And yes, puppy has been "barred" from many areas of the house - in fact our house has been "transformed" with barriers up everywhere. :) But he is getting better though. Second lot of injections today, so we will be able to take him out walking, which I'm looking forward to.

Holy crap you're right. #1 Crush is perfect. I love Garbage as it is but this song is Sam and Dean all the way. I've been rewatching seasons 1-3 on DVD and ever since I started I've had the itch to return to vidding. I've never made a Supernatural vid before because my first vidding heyday was before I discovered the show. And honestly I wasn't that good when I started out.
But then that was years ago and I've never done a fandom that had so much beautiful material before. It's like a vidder's dream come true. I'd be tempted to try this song as my comeback vid if I could just get all my software sorted...but probably won't get around to it because I suck like that. Still, mind if I ask what program and video format you use for your clip conversion?

Hi there,

I agree SPN is a vidders dream - such a wonderful variety of footage to choose from. It would be great to see you use this song for a comeback vid.

I use Final Cut Express (which is a mac program) and I use Quicktime and MPEG Streamclip for my conversion. Though PC users seem to use Song Vegas to edit their vids.

Let me know if I can do anything else to persuade you to make a vidding come back! :D :D

Thanks so much. I am a PC user and I just got Vegas so I'm still in the very first stages of figuring it out and it kinda makes my head hurt...

So it may be a while before I successfully finish a project*sighs* I really want to do that song bad though!

So I fully intend to try if no one better beats me to it and if I actually do accomplish it you'll be the first to know :D

It's the perfect song for SPN. I haven't been able to find one that has been done recently yet ... I might end up putting it on my list!

Though that Placebo song has been pushing it's way to the top of my list... (well, after my little OC tribute vid).. *sigh* wish I had all the time in the world to do all these....
