My cat returned.

Woke up this morning to find him curled up on my daughter's bed. I just. *head shake* We were starting to believe he was dead, but here he is. Not very well( limping very badly) , but here at least.

Thanks for everyone's info on injured cats the other day. Hopefully we'll manage to keep him in this time.

In other news: We have a new roof. (In fact, I think would have kept the cat away even longer. The noise!)

Oh, I'm so glad he's home.

Me too! :D

Our indoor cat has disappeared (escape artist that he is) for days and days. The longest was six days, and we made up posters and went to the shelter to search through the many cages of black cats. He has always come back. I have absolutely no idea what he does while he is gone...

So glad yours is back! Even if he's not well, that's better than the alternative.

We've had this cat for about 6 years and he has never disappeared before. This time, because he was so hurt, I think he took himself off to get better. I thought he might have taken himself off to die. They do that also I've heard. He'd been gone for about a week so I really didn't expect to see him again.

But Yay! He's back. He looks awful so we are going to have to be careful he doesn't escape again before we can mend some more.

*sigh of relief*

Indeed. :D

I'm glad your cat returned! Sounds like he had a rough time, though.

Yes. He was badly injured before he disappeared so it just made no sense that he took himself off. Especially has it's winter and very cold and wet outside.

He looks pretty rough but he is at least walking. *sigh* Pets. They really tug on the heart strings.

I'm very pleased your cat made it home in one piece. Such a relief to stop imagining the worst now.

Yes and to be honest I was imagining the worse. I kept picturing him suffering under some house, slowly dying. At least he can be feed and kept warm now.

oh that's great news that he's back! Hope his limp gets better soon. <33

Yes it is. In fact he's next to my feet as I type. He's a long way from better but at least he's inside. :)

Thanks hun.xx

Oh, that's such good news, the uncertainty of NOT knowing is awful.

5th-Aug-2011 01:27 pm (UTC)
It was. I was putting grieving on hold because I just didn't know...

5th-Aug-2011 09:19 am (UTC)
Oh yaye! Now hopefully you can stick him in a bathroom or a laundry room and shut the door so he can't go a-wandering again. He'll probaby complain about it, but remember it's for his own good. =^.^=

yay! Honestly, I thought we'd lost him. We have not shut the cat flap and will keep it that way for a while (which will be an absolute pain for the other animals but we shall just have to cope).

He's currently under my feet, under our big desk and hasn't moved all day. He's eaten and he seems fine. At least we know where he is.

and hee! Cat smiley.. :D

Thanks hun.
