Someone showed me this last year and I have never forgotten it. Seemed like a good time to share. You may not have seen it.

Steve Jobs
2005 Stanford Commencement Address

That's an excellent speech he gave. I've seen it many times over the years and it always fires me up each time I listen to it. Last night and today it makes me incredibly sad to know we lost such an innovator, the likes the world has never seen. I knew it was coming but I was still surprised that it hit me as hard as it did. I have always admired Steve Jobs - he is one of the main reasons I have a career in IT but also he is the reason of my love for all things Apple.

Yeah... he's been battling for a long time. :(

An incredible man who has left an indelible mark on the world.

I'm not an Apple girl myself but this news made me incredibly sad today.

That's the thing though isn't it? I don't think it matters if someone is into Apple's or not, it's knowing that he was such an innovator and an inspiration to many people. A visionary.

I listen to this speech when I'm needing a push. :)

It's an amazing speech....in a way he's saying his own obituary. The speech means and reinforces so many things he said now that he's gone. I'm always struck by what I hear in commencement addresses now that I'm in my mid-40s compared to what I got from them when I was graduating. Cuz, don't you know, then I was immortal.

Hee! Yes... we were all immortal in our youth weren't we. ;)

He legacy will certainly live on.
