Pinched from a few of my darlin' flisties..

I was once accused of being addicted to TV. That puzzled me for a while because whereas I AM addicted to some TV shows, I don't watch TV for the sake of watching TV. In fact, there's quite a few shows I don't (and can't) watch. I think there's a difference.

Name a TV show/series in which you have seen every episode at least twice:

Wow. Every episode at least twice? Nope...I can't say there's any TV show that I've watched EVERY episode at least twice. Not even SPN (though I have just started re-watching S1 of The Musketeers and as there are only 10 episodes it's safe to say I will have watched each one twice at some point veeeeery soon).

Name a (current) show you can't miss:
Supernatural (duh!), Hannibal, The Musketeers, Death in Paradise, Haven, Game of Thrones

Name an actor that would make you more inclined to watch a show:
Hmmm...this is tricky. As much as I ADORE Jared and Jensen if they suddenly appeared in a soapy style show I wouldn't be able to watch it. Dylan O'Brien (from Teen Wolf) is an actor that would pretty much make me watch anything. Hmmm...can't think of any others at the moment.

Name an actor who would make you less likely to watch a show:
I really can't think of an actor who would make me NOT want to watch something. I mostly watch stuff according to genre, not actor.

Name a show you can, and do, quote from:
Supernatural, Monty Python's Flying Circus

Name a TV show which you’ve been known to sing the theme song:
Laverne and Shirley, On your mark, get set and go now..., Happy Days, The Brady Bunch,

Name a show you would recommend everyone to watch:
Hannibal (with warnings), Spartacus (with warnings), Orphan Black, Game of Thrones, Death in Paradise, The Musketeers, Mirror Black (A-MAZING!), X-Files, Sherlock (season one and two), Haven, Heroes (season one), Misfits

Name a TV series you own:
Supernatural, The Professionals, Starksy and Hutch, Space 1999, X-Files, 2 seasons of Smallville, 1 season of Dark Angel ('cause Jensen)

What is your favorite episode of your favorite series?
Supernatural: Seriously?! One? Nope...let's say: Mystery Spot, The End, What is and What Should Never Be, A Very Supernatural Christmas, and probably some recent ones. It'll be their staying power that will prove if they're favs later on.
Starksy and Hutch: "Coffin for Starksy" SO MUCH MAN!TOUCHING

A show you mean to watch, but you just haven’t gotten around to yet:
Six Feet Under, Elementary, Breaking Bad, Suits,

Ever quit watching a show because it was so bad?
The Tomorrow People (BOO!). I'm not sure it was "bad" as such, but I definitely lost interest in it.

Name a show you aren't interested in watching, not in the least:
Hmmm...lots I suppose. Anything that's "reality" or soapy or tiresome. Shows like - Vampire Diaries, Desperate Housewives, Beauty and the Beast, Pretty Little Liars, most cooking, renovating, sharing a big house together type shows.

Name a show that’s made you cry multiple times:
Hmmm...I don't watch many "weepy" style shows. Though Supernatural has made me cry many times! I cried at the end of MASH.

Oldest TV show you like?
Lots of old ones!

The Tomorrow People (original), The Man from Uncle, The Professionals, Simon and Simon, Little House on the Prairie (THIS is probably the oldest one actually...), The Brady Bunch (God! I LOVED this show as a child), Dr Who (Tom Baker!), Star Trek (original), MASH, Happy Days, Laverne and Shirley, Land of the Giants, The Hardy Boys,

Newest TV show you like?
The Musketeers!! \o/

What do you eat when you watch TV?
Depends on the time of day. With SPN it's either chocolate and coffee or a glass of wine.

How often do you watch TV?
Most nights - I try and watch at least one episode of my fav show of the moment.

Do you have a favorite talk show?

What’s the last TV show you watched?
Puberty Blues (my daughter and boyfriend were watching it while I was doing this...). Other than that the new season of Death in Paradise \o/

What’s your favorite/preferred genres of TV?
Science-fiction, mysteries, police procedurals, documentaries, thrillers

What's your least favorite genre of TV?
Soap operas, talk shows, reality shows, overly romantic stuff

What was the first TV show you were obsessed with?
The Tomorrow People (followed by Starksy and Hutch, Dr Who, The Professionals, Simon and Simon, Battlestar Galactica (original), The Hardy Boys )

What TV show do you wish you never watched?
Supernatural! OH MY HEART!

What’s the weirdest show you enjoyed?
Black Books

What TV show scared you the most?
Mirror Black (one episode I actually left the room screaming and crying! It was SO harrowing...)

What is the funniest TV show you have ever watched?

Listing all my favs...Absolutely Fabulous, The Office (UK), Kath and Kim (Aus), Blackadder Goes Forth, Flawlty Towers, Whose Line is it Anyway, Big Train, Black Books, The Muppet Show, Red Dwarf,

Which do you think is the best TV series ever made?
For production values - Game of Thrones
For acting - Orphan Black and Hannibal
For tension - Hannibal
For sex and gore - Spartacus (and Game of Thrones)
For scripting - MASH
For hotness (and that something that you just can't put your finger on) - Supernatural
For swashbuckling awesomeness - The Musketeers
For bromance - Starksy and Hutch

I'm sure I've missed a lot of my past favs (so many to remember!).

oh there's some blasts from the past here - Space 1999, Tomorrow People, Land of the Giants, The professionals, Simon and Simon!

Yep! And I forgot Bonanza! :))
5th-Apr-2014 11:39 am (UTC)
Oh sigh

Yes to most of the above (slightly different lists but not by that much) But conceptually on the spot.

*Check your Dr Who spelling for Tom's name though :-)

fixed! Thanks.

Oh sigh? Bad TV or being old enough to remember all these...?
5th-Apr-2014 11:53 am (UTC)
Well, old enough to remember most of them (or have since watched anyway) so sigh for, yes - this, brings back fun and happy thoughts (except for the occasional harrowing episode of something..)

One or two weren't on TV here that I know of.

Weird things is that THIS year I haven't watched ANY tv yet at all..I'm behind on everything.
5th-Apr-2014 11:58 am (UTC)
Oh wow! No TV this year? You'll have some catching up to do (I'd probably suffer some sort of withdrawal if I didn't have my TV fix).
5th-Apr-2014 12:18 pm (UTC)
I know - I'm kinda in shock about it all myself. But the longer it goes the harder it is to catch up and I keep putting it off.

It IS making the internet a hard place to be because I'm spoiler phobic...

Between the shows I was watching and the ones I wanted to start I think it would take me a month just to catch up!

Ab Fab!! ♥♥ Also agreed on "A Coffin for Starsky" -- one of the series' best episodes, and yup. Man-touching, lots of it -- even for those two who normallt touched a lot anyway. :D

Methinks I need to check out "Mirror Black" . . .

Ooo, I see what you did with the last question -- brilliant answer!
6th-Apr-2014 03:51 am (UTC)
I could just pick one for "best TV series ever made"! There's just toooo many! ;)

And Mirror Black is quite amazing. Very creepy, but so week written.

Yay! S&H man touching!!

And double yay Ab Fab icon! :DD

So many awesome older TV shows! I loved Little House, Simon and Simon, MASH, Happy Days, Laverne and Shirley, The Brady Bunch, Star Trek (How my brain explodes that William Shatner and Misha have this Twitter thing going on)

How my brain explodes that William Shatner and Misha have this Twitter thing going on)

Isn't that quite something?

I also love that Katie Cassidy appeared in the show because I was a huge fan of Shaun Cassidy growing up (his niece). I just love that there's that connection. :))
6th-Apr-2014 04:29 am (UTC)
It is something. Shatner is in my town this weekend for a con. I wanted to go so bad but I can't. Mostly because of work.

I was a big Shawn Cassidy fan when I was younger too. But I will admit I spent quite a bit of time watching The Partridge Family as well.

I'm sleeping and right in the middle of a good dream and all at once I wake up from something that keeps knocking in my brain

6th-Apr-2014 11:34 am (UTC)
Oh yes yes...The Partridge Family! I used to love that too. :)
5th-Apr-2014 03:37 pm (UTC)
My parents have me on video singing the Laverne and Shirley song when I was little-I loved that show and that song!
6th-Apr-2014 03:56 am (UTC)
How awesome!! It was such a great theme song. :))
5th-Apr-2014 06:20 pm (UTC)
Red Dwarf - Hell yeah! And I love to sing along with it!

I'm giving the new Tomorrow People a shot, but yeah, I am losing interest.

But Suits is awesome, you should definitely give it a go!
6th-Apr-2014 03:58 am (UTC)
I was SO excited that they were remaking The Tomorrow People. There were some good moments but I ended up losing interest in the characters. I always love watching Mark P, but the younger people didn't grab me that much.
5th-Apr-2014 06:28 pm (UTC)
Oh this is interesting. I may do this one as well.

And, btw, you really should watch Six Feet Under. I found it after the show finished and consumed all 8(?) seasons in record time.
6th-Apr-2014 03:59 am (UTC)
It's fun to do (especially when waiting for a new ep).

I keep hearing good things about Six Feet Under, which is why I want to give it a go. It's just finding the time....
5th-Apr-2014 09:01 pm (UTC)
Tom Baker's Dr Who! Yes!!!

and Suits - I have to tell you. It's Must-See TV for me... but I've gotten hooked more by the minor characters than the leads! (Of course, for those wearing slash-goggles, it's the two lead guys all the way.)
5th-Apr-2014 09:14 pm (UTC)
Lewis cracks me up - and I think the way he's written is fecking awesome. You start of thinking oh my gawd, what a prick and end up emoting with him over cats and his hurt feelings galore...
5th-Apr-2014 10:41 pm (UTC)
yep - Louis and Donna are my favorite characters! I never would have guessed how much I'd come to look forward to his scenes!
6th-Apr-2014 11:36 am (UTC)
I loved Tom! I didn't mind Davison either.

I definitely gong to give Suits a go. I keep hearing good things about it. :)
5th-Apr-2014 09:12 pm (UTC)
Bromance - Alias Smith and Jones... Seems I was a sucker for that from an early age...!
6th-Apr-2014 11:37 am (UTC)
Oh yes! I watched that too! Anything that has bromance in it I'm there!
7th-Apr-2014 02:09 pm (UTC)
As much as I ADORE Jared and Jensen if they suddenly appeared in a soapy style show I wouldn't be able to watch it.

LIES! You watched S8. :D :D :D :D

I still chuckle over your vid.
